## Couples therapy

Whether you're trying to repair after a breach of trust, navigate a big transition, or stop having the same fight for the fifth year running — couples therapy works when both people show up honestly.

I'm trained in the **Gottman Method**, a research-based approach built on over 40 years of studying real couples. We'll look at your friendship, conflict patterns, shared meaning, and the small daily moments that either build trust or quietly erode it.

**Focus areas:**
- Communication — moving from gridlock to productive dialogue
- Repair and trust — after infidelity, betrayal, or long-standing disconnection
- Premarital work — building the foundation before problems build for you
- Blended families — parenting, boundaries, and the space between households

Session length: 60 minutes.

## Child and adolescent therapy

Kids don't walk in and deliver a polished description of what's wrong. They show up scared, stubborn, silent, or somewhere in between. My job is to make therapy feel like a place they want to come back to.

**Specializations:**
- ADHD — skill-building, executive function, and family systems
- Anxiety and depression — evidence-based approaches adapted for younger clients
- Behavior at home or school — oppositional behavior, defiance, regulation
- Trauma and adoption — gentle, attachment-informed care for complex histories

---

## Individual adult therapy

My individual work draws primarily on **Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)** and **Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)** — two well-researched approaches that are practical without being cold.

**Common focus areas:**
- Anxiety and depression — the most common reasons people start therapy
- Life transitions — career, divorce, grief, parenthood, identity shifts
- Trauma — including adoption, substance use, complex histories
- Divorce care — walking through separation with your footing intact

Session length: 50 minutes.

## Assessments and evaluations

### ADHD assessment
A 90-minute comprehensive evaluation including diagnostic interview, ADHD diagnostics, an Executive Functioning Assessment, and a written letter for the prescriber or school. Flat fee of $399, all-in. ADHD assessments are self-pay only — insurance is not accepted for assessments.

### Drug and alcohol assessment
Substance use assessment with clinical recommendations. Often required for court, employment, or treatment planning.

### 504 / IEP documentation
Clinical documentation to support 504 plans and IEPs.

### Partial psychological evaluation
Targeted evaluations designed around a specific question — useful when a full battery isn't needed but documented clinical insight is.

**Scope note**: As an LPC, I conduct clinical assessments grounded in interview, observation, and standardized measures. For full neuropsychological testing or batteries requiring psychometrics outside LPC scope, I refer to a psychologist partner.

## For churches and nonprofits

Reduced session rates and partnership contracts are available for churches and nonprofits looking to bring counseling to the people they serve. This applies when the organization pays directly for sessions — not when an individual is using insurance benefits. (Insurance and partnership contracts can't be combined.)

Whether the arrangement is a few sponsored sessions for a member in a hard season, an ongoing referral relationship, or a structured contract for staff and leadership care, inquiries are welcome.
